In Guilin, you have picturesque scenery and you can also find the minority culture in China. You can see many beautiful landscapes and you can escape from the city to relax here. One of the things you can do here is to cruise the Li River to Yangshuo. You can spend some days at the Longji Rice Terraces where you can find a minority culture. This is where they plant in tiered fields and you can get to meet the Zhuang and Yao minorities.
If you want to see giant pandas, then you should visit Chengdu. Here you can also taste great cuisine like the Spicy Sichuan hotpot.
The number of days you will stay in China should be decided on next. If you don’t want to just scratch the surface of China, then a week would be ideal.
You should know about the visa policy in China and the gateway cities. Beijing and Shanghai are the top gateway cities for international flights. You can also enter China via Hong Kong.
One of your considerations should be the best time to travel to China. You can visit China’s cultural and historical attraction any time of the year. If you will do anything in these regions, seasons don’t affect it. It is during spring and autumn or from April to October that you can best and the most comfortable time to go to China.
